Just thought I would share what I found today on our walk through Arlington. I must have walked by her dozens of times! 

Martha Summerhayes penned the phrase we all know and love in her book "Vanished Arizona". One of my very favorite reads, it journals Martha's travels west in the late 1800's with her young husband, LT John Summerhayes.

I highly recommend reading her story!
