Hers...A Little More Christmas at the Beach

We aren't spending Christmas at the beach or the mountains this year.  As our children get older it's harder for them to come home and easier for us to go to them.  Last year we went to our daughter and son in law's in New Mexico and this year we will be with our new grandson in Tennessee!
I shared our porch here and our master bedroom here on the 2019 Holiday Tour of Homes hosted by 11 Magnolia Lane.
Just a few more photos to share of the holidays at Lost Cay Cottage...

With Gratitude and the best Christmas wishes!

Hers...Christmas on the Front Porch

If it wasn't for my sweet friends at 11 Magnolia Lane and their kind invitation to join their Holiday Tour of Homes again this year I may not have gotten out a single decoration.
#skippingChristmas(decorating)
The temptation was real.
Am I the only one who feels that way?

I thought about switching to traditional Christmas lights but I love these market lights so much I decided to stick with them again this year.
I like the whimsical holiday look of it all!

Tippet is the only one who wanted in on the action today, she's such a Labradiva!

So much beautiful on the tour...links below!!

The Making of our Christmas Photo

I love our cute Christmas photo this year!
I thought some of the other pictures were really funny so I put together a little behind the scene blooper set...

Me: Beau, Tippet look at me...who wants a treat! Treat, treat, TREAT!

Me: Tippet, Beatrice look! Treat!
Oh gosh, the door is open...argh..

Tippet: No treat is worth this.
Beau: Where did you say to look for a treat?
Beatrice: Did someone say sit?

Beatrice: Cheese!
Tippet: Why do we have a puppy?

Me: Tippet, you'll regret that look every time you see this picture!
Beau: I'm so bored of this.

Beau: Beatrice ate my treat!
Beatrice: Yes, I did!
Tippet: I really don't understand why we have a puppy.

Beau: You can't make me look.

Beau and Beatrice: Is that a bag of treats on top of mom's head?
Tippet: I just can't take any more of this.

Beau and Beatrice: Let's get that bag of treats!
Tippet: I knew this was a bad idea.
Me: I'm beginning to think you're right, Tippet.

57 photos later a Christmas miracle!

More Christmas at Lost Cay Cottage!

Glad you could stop back by Quarters One at the beach for another peak in our little cottage!
Here are some photos of our dining room and kitchen...we participated in an island tour of homes so the photos are taken at various times of the day.

It's been fun incorporating into the beach house some of the pieces we acquired while in the military. All of this ensemble came from Vicenza, Italy when were with the 173d Airborne Brigade.
Sky Soldiers!

I don't know if you can tell but I am pretty crazy about Oyster shells and I found this great local artist who does beautiful work. Her name is Laura Lobdell, see the link attached to her name.

Our sweet Beauregard.

Our new puppy, Beatrice.
If you don't know her story, my daughter found her on the side of a highway.
We found two homes for her but neither worked out, through no fault of her own, so we decided her best home was here with us!
#puppylife

Our little galley kitchen is perfect for going out to eat!

My gingerbread beach cottage is sort of modeled after Lost Cay Cottage!

I have a few more decorations to share, which I will do next week! For now, thank you for stopping by and enjoy this most wonderful of seasons!

Shand
